While not satisfactorily documented, it is this author's view that M#58 Samuel Keller's father was M#115 Elizabeth Keller's brother, M#116 (M#232.2) Samuel Keller- b about 1782, m 1 November, 1798, to Ann Springston (Springstone), dau of Jacob (d 1777) and Elizabeth Springston of Barbour County.

According to the International Genealogical Index for Virginia, a Samuel Keller who '...was spouse of Nancy Keller, was born in 1802 in Barbour County, Virginia'. Without further documentation, this author construes this Samuel Keller to be M#58 Samuel Keller. Similarly, according to the IGI, a Samuel Keller was born in 1782 in Randolph County to George and Martha Keller.

Violet Gadd Coonts, in her book on Barbour County, page 336, enumerates among the offspring of George and Martha Keller, child number 2., "...Samuel born about 1782, married Ann Springston (Springstone)[sic], daughter of Jacob (who died about 1777) [sic] and Elizabeth Springstone of Randolph County on November 1, 1798. Samuel and Anne lived in eastern Barbour County."

This author presumes this Samuel Keller to be M#116 Samuel Keller (and M#117 Ann Springston), father and mother of M#58 Samuel Keller, and brother of M#115 Elizabeth Keller, wife of M#114 Charles Digman.
