M#14.7.2.2 BETTY JO MEADOWS

Born Jan 6, 1935, in Dover, Ohio.

Betty, who is Paul's older sister, was born and grew up in Dover, Ohio. She played the violin in high school.

While in school, she had a very outgoing personality, which is what most of her friends liked about her.

The family left Dover around 1956 because John had been laid off at Reeve's Steel Mill almost three years. He found work in Columbus, Ohio working at Westinghouse. Betty worked in Columbus as a nurse for a doctor. Later she met her present husband, married, had three children, according to Paul.

Betty Jo married George Vasos in September of 1956. George, owner of a successful restaurant, was born 6 March 1927. On 29 March, 1957, Betty Jo gave birth to the first of their three lovely daughters, Evelyn Jo. Kathy Jo was to greet the world on 13 March, 1960, followed by Andrea "Andi" Maria on 20 December, 1967.

Betty and George sold their restaurant and relocated to Florida with a new restaurant, but after several years in business there, made a prudent business decision to move back to the Columbus, Ohio area.

"Betty loves being around people very much and enjoys talking in a happy mood. There are times you know she is troubled about something on the inside; however, she is always smiling and talking to people in a positive, cheerful manner." (Paul Meadows)
