Genevieve Elizabeth Slaughter, known affectionately as "Geri" to family and friends, was the third and last child born to Rosa Jean and John Slaughter.

Geri was born on Thursday, July 13, 1916 in Belington, West Virginia. She married Albert Elwood McComas on 11 August, 1942. Albert was in hardware sales. He died 28 September 1945. They had no children.

As of January 1990, Geri was semi-retired, residing in Columbus, Ohio, not far from her sister Josephine and family. Geri retired as foot wear salesperson from one of Columbus's leading department stores. So successful, she had a regular clientele, and was asked back to work on a limited scale by her former employers.

Like one of her aunts, Geri was a woman of elegant taste, living a quiet life of semi-retirement with an active schedule, which included travel, and involvement with her family (She died in 1998-see Errata).
